Jim Carrey Carries Late Girlfriend Cathriona White’s Casket at Funeral

The actor joined his late girlfriend’s family and other loved ones as she was laid to rest at a funeral in her hometown in Ireland on Saturday (Oct. 10, 2015). A devastated Carrey was seen carrying her coffin with five other men from the funeral service to the burial grounds of Cappawhite Cemetery. According to NY Daily News, White was buried next to her father.

White’s body was discovered at her Sherman Oaks, Calif., home last week, surrounded by bottles of prescription pills. A suicide note addressed to Carrey was also found, in which White references a breakup she had with the actor.

Days after her death, he also issued an emotional statement saying he’s “deeply saddened by the passing of my sweet Cathriona,” and described her death as like being “hit with a lightning bolt.” The pair dated on-and-off since 2012, but it was discovered that White was married to a man named Mark Burton at the time of her passing.
